Grant Park was the only pitch playable in the HFL this afternoon with the homeside denying the Vale the opportunity to leapfrog them in the table as they ran out one nil winners. Deveronvale are pleased to announce that Liam Forbes and Zander Jack have signed extensions to their contracts, keeping them at Princess Royal Park as members of the first team squad.

Weather Frustrates Players & Fans  (Other News)- 8/2/16
The severe weather over December and January resulted in a number of cancellations of both home and away fixtures for Deveronvale. Having lost narrowly at Turriff United on 19th December the club saw a five week gap without a game until their SHFL Cup meeting with Clach where they lost out by 3 goals to 2.

Having missed out on making further progress in the SHFL Cup, hopefully Deveronvale will be back in action away to Lossiemouth this Saturday February 13th and at home to Rothes at Princess Royal Park on February 20th. Manager Steve Dolan, his coaching team and the players have been working hard over the “down” period to prepare themselves to try to move the club up the SHFL table and these matches should provide good opportunities to add to the points tally.

Off the pitch the club’s board, committee and helpers having been working hard on the preparations for a number of upcoming social event events. These include the 2016 Sportsman’s Dinner, with guest speakers John Hartson and Jeff Winter, at the Marriott Hotel Dyce on Friday 6th May and the 2016 Deveronvale Golf Day at Duff House Royal Golf club on Sunday 12th June. If you’re interested in either the people to contact are Fergus Beaton and Peter Bruce for the Sportsman’s Dinner and Mark McKay and Graeme Buchan for the Golf Day.

Deveronvale’s main sponsor for the past three years, Macduff Shellfish, was acquired in October last year by Canadian firm Clearwater Seafoods and, therefore, the club is busy looking to secure a new main sponsor for season 2016/2017. There are also a number of other sponsorship opportunities and interested parties should contact Jim Mair.
