|Stuart Leslie Joins Clach (First Team Club News)- 26/12/15|
|Deveronvale wish to announce that the transfer of Stuart Leslie to Clachnacuddin FC has been finalised. As announced a number of weeks ago Stuart was keen to play his football nearer to his home in Inverness given a change in his family circumstances. Clach approached the club for his services and we are pleased that a constructive and amicable negotiation has allowed an outcome here which suits both clubs and Stuart and we wish him well at Grant Street.|
|Festive Greetings (Other News)- 24/12/15|
|The board, committee members, management and players of Deveronvale would like to take the opportunity to wish our sponsors, supporters and helpers a Happy Christmas and wish everyone a Happy New Year. 2015 has been a challenging year for the North East of Scotland and the decline in the oil price and its knock-on effects has been something that has affected many of us and our families. In these difficult economic circumstances, and during a period where the club hasn’t managed to maintain the standards we have consistently set ourselves, it’s especially heartening that so many people in the Banff/Macduff and surrounding area have maintained their financial and physical support of the club and the team. Our sincere thanks to all for their continued support.
With the appointment of an “all Vale” management team in early October we hope to have set the club on the right track for a significantly improved performance over the rest of the season and into next. I think we can all see that Dippy, Chiz, Craiger and Blanchie have re-established the basics, stopped a slide and built a basis for a much improved future performance by the club. However, this effort also needs continued efforts on all fronts in terms of the board, committees and commercial activities and we would invite anyone who would like to offer their support to contact me or any of the other board members to discuss what they might contribute.
We would particularly like to thank everyone who supported our Sportsman’s Dinner in May this year and look forward to a continued support when we hold the 2016 Sportsman’s dinner at the Marriott Hotel Dyce on Friday 6th May 2016. More details on this are available from Fergus Beaton and Peter Bruce who are kindly leading the efforts for 2016.
The 50/50 club is off to a good start with over 80 members at the present time. Our goal is to increase this number substantially in 2016 and we would invite interested parties to contact either myself or Kenny Christie for details on how to join.
Finally we hope you and your families have a great Festive period and would offer you our very best wishes for 2016.
Jim Mair, Chairman on behalf of the board of Deveronvale FC
