|The Fans Forum was held last night at Princess Royal Park with some 40 fans attending along with First Team Manager Steve Dolan, his assistant Mark Chisholm and Deveronvale board and committee members.
Dippy and Chiz provided open and honest answers about the squad, the league position and how they planned to move the club back up the SHFL. Dippy highlighted the key requirement of 100% effort from the players and expressed his appreciation of the attitude the squad has shown since he, Chiz, Craig and Blanchie took over in early October, saying "they have all been excellent, and have worked really hard over the past month. I think it shows in results and performances, and the need for everyone to be united in what we are trying to achieve is vital. We need to make the club an enjoyable place to be again."
Chairman Jim Mair gave an overview of the Deveronvale FC Limited business, what it takes to run the club, the reliance on and need for supporters to provide assistance through offering their time to the club to support in running specific elements and in helping with fund raising. He also stressed the importance of supporters coming along to PRP to support the club and getting behind the new management team and the players.
A variety of questions came from the fans, both on the night and by email and the interaction was much appreciated by the club and the First Team Management. At the end of the evening it was indicated that another Forum, with more notice, would be held later in the season. The clear consensus from the evening ‘s discussions was that everyone wants the club to return to the upper echelons of the SHFL and to cup success but that it’s appreciated that will take time to achieve, there will be ups and downs along that journey but an essential input to making that happen is everyone pulling in the same direction.
Any fans who would like to offer their time to support the club on matchdays, with fund raising events, who wish to join the 50/50 Club or want any more details on these or other activities are invited to email the club at firstname.lastname@example.org or to contact any of the directors.
