PRP Pitch Update  - 17/3/17
Investigation of the drainage problem at PRP continues and PRSCT are in regular contact with Aberdeenshire Council regarding identification of the cause of the problem and planning for remediation work during the close season. The affected area of pitch will be verti-drained again on Sunday 19th March ahead of our next home game against Forres Mechanics on 25th March. Following that our final home games of the season are scheduled for Saturday April 1st and Wednesday 5th April against Clachnacuddin and Inverurie Locos.

Clearly the continuing problems with drainage are frustrating for everyone but the Club would like to express its thanks to PRSCT for continuing to pursue a solution with Aberdeenshire Council, to Duff House Royal Golf Club for their kind assistance with the verti-draining and to their greenkeeper Derek Anthony for organising the work.

Breedon Highland League Cup  - 24/2/17
The board of Deveronvale are aware that allegations of some fans spitting at Nairn County players during and at the end of last night’s game have been made and are actively investigating these. Deveronvale’s board, management and players in no way condone behaviour of this nature or the use of excessive bad language either off or on the pitch.

If anyone witnessed the alleged spitting incidents we would ask them to contact the Club with whatever information they have.

The Club will take the appropriate action should these allegations be shown to be substantiated.

Princess Royal Park Issues  - 20/2/17
Deveronvale and Princess Royal Sports and Community Trust are continuing to liaise and work together on solving the current issues affecting PRP. The issues are as follows:

The Pitch Drainage The past few seasons have seen drainage problems at PRP become worse. Last year PRSCT sought help from Aberdeenshire Council to try to identify the problem but no obvious cause for the flooding could be found.

A number of soakaways were installed during the close season by PRSCT in an attempt to drain the affected area, but clearly this has not solved the problem. With the affected area remaining very soft, even in periods of better weather, PRSCT have again been in touch with Aberdeenshire Council to seek their help to identify the cause of the drainage problem and to find a solution.

Hopefully, the problem can be identified reasonably quickly and a plan put in place for the required remedial work. With five home matches yet to play it is likely that the remedial work can’t be undertaken until the end of the season.
However, in the meantime, every effort to address the affected area in an effort to get matches on will be made. The Lights Ongoing work to repair the lights continues, but further repair and replacement of bulbs will require heavy machinery crossing the pitch and this can only be carried out in the close season.

The SHFL are aware of the issues at PRP and Deveronvale are very appreciative of their understanding at this difficult time.
