Mid-term Report - Chairman's View  - 4/1/17
Happy New Year to all Deveronvale’s sponsors and supporters as we look forward to our first match of 2017 away to Huntly on Saturday 7th January. Taking stock on the season so far, and the various challenges the Club faces in 2017, we have to be disappointed with our current league position of 13th and our early exit from the cup competitions. Whilst I feel we have seen marked improvements in our performances, we should have taken more points in a number of recent games and have to improve on our ability to close matches out. Our current points total of 21 is 4 behind where we sat at this stage last season and we must take more from the remaining 11 league games than the 7 points we added in the latter part of last season.

Although it sounds like a recurring excuse, injuries remain part of the challenge the Club faces and we have missed a number of key players in the first half of the season. James Blanchard and Kevin Adams unfortunately remain on the injured list, however, Club captain Scotty Fraser is well on the road to full recovery and we hope to see him back in early February to help try to move us up the table and progress in the Breedon Aggregates Highland League Cup. It would be good, after a considerable period out through injury, to see Scotty round off his testimonial season on a positive note.

The further challenges the Club faces off the pitch were addressed in the “Way Forward” meeting held with shareholders and supporters on 30th November. Unsurprisingly, these challenges relate to operational and financial support in an economic environment which is proving tough for everyone in the North East of Scotland. If you would like to help the Club in 2017, in any way whatsoever, please contact the Club directly on deveronvalefc@highlandleague.co.uk, myself on jhmair@me.com or any of our directors.

With best wishes for 2017.

Jim Mair

Christmas Greetings  - 24/12/16
The players, management, committee members and directors of Deveronvale would like to wish our sponsors and supporters a very happy Christmas and success in 2017.

Club chairman, Jim Mair, said “ 2016 has been another difficult year for the North East with continued low oil prices, companies having to cut costs and commercial activities and families having to cope with uncertainty. Given these difficult circumstances we are extremely appreciative of the continued support we receive from both our sponsors and fans.

We at the Club hope that everyone enjoys their Christmas and Hogmanay and that 2017 brings with it health, wealth and happiness.
