Deveronvale have signed 18 year old defender Kyle Willox on loan from Montrose FC until the end of the season. Kyle can play as a left sided full/wing back or left midfield. He has had previous loan spells at East End and at Inverurie Locos and will join the squad for tomorrow’s match away to Huntly. We welcome Kyle to PRP and hope he enjoys his loan spell.

Mid-term Report - Chairman's View  (Other News)- 4/1/17
Happy New Year to all Deveronvale’s sponsors and supporters as we look forward to our first match of 2017 away to Huntly on Saturday 7th January. Taking stock on the season so far, and the various challenges the Club faces in 2017, we have to be disappointed with our current league position of 13th and our early exit from the cup competitions. Whilst I feel we have seen marked improvements in our performances, we should have taken more points in a number of recent games and have to improve on our ability to close matches out. Our current points total of 21 is 4 behind where we sat at this stage last season and we must take more from the remaining 11 league games than the 7 points we added in the latter part of last season.

Although it sounds like a recurring excuse, injuries remain part of the challenge the Club faces and we have missed a number of key players in the first half of the season. James Blanchard and Kevin Adams unfortunately remain on the injured list, however, Club captain Scotty Fraser is well on the road to full recovery and we hope to see him back in early February to help try to move us up the table and progress in the Breedon Aggregates Highland League Cup. It would be good, after a considerable period out through injury, to see Scotty round off his testimonial season on a positive note.

The further challenges the Club faces off the pitch were addressed in the “Way Forward” meeting held with shareholders and supporters on 30th November. Unsurprisingly, these challenges relate to operational and financial support in an economic environment which is proving tough for everyone in the North East of Scotland. If you would like to help the Club in 2017, in any way whatsoever, please contact the Club directly on deveronvalefc@highlandleague.co.uk, myself on jhmair@me.com or any of our directors.

With best wishes for 2017.

Jim Mair

Fans Bar - Round up of last nights games  (Commercial News)- 31/12/16
Many thanks to all the sponsors, guests, supporters and helpers who came along and joined in with our games/activities in the fans bar last night. Our Play Your Cards Right champion was Craig Gibson, who along with Jocky Begg managed 8 cards each - Craig winning the penalty shoot out and the £25 first prize. The Parcel Challenge was won by Ronald Sutherland - we managed to do this live on facebook, so check out the video. Ronald won a box of chocolates and a bottle of fizz. Player Transfer was won by Sonia Pirie in a time of 15.75 secs - fast hands from Sonia who kindly donated the prize of £18 back to the club. Mannequin Challenge - video also on facebook - thanks to all who took part. Thanks to Nicole for the back ground music and singing during the evening - thankfully her lap top is now drying out after a wee water accident. Look forward to seeing you all next year
