Vale 6 Hearts 0  - 8/7/17

The first pre-season friendly took place at Canal Park this afternoon. Vale beat Buchanhaven Hearts 6-0. Goals from Dunbar, Pauline (2), Aitken, Ballard, and Robertson.
The next friendly is at Princess Royal Park on Monday night against Maud JFC, and we are pleased to announce admission will be half price - Adults £4, Concessions £2.

Vale sign Michael Dunn  - 7/7/17
Deveronvale have completed the signing of 27 year old central defender Michael Dunn from Keith FC. Manager Steve Dolan said “Michael is a strong player who will add experience to our young squad.

I’m very pleased he has agreed to come to PRP and look forward to working with him. Michael has been out injured for some time but is now fully fit. We are delighted to see him back playing and believe he’ll soon be back to the commanding centre half he was before his injuries.”

Pre-season Underway  - 5/7/17
Pre-season training started on Monday 19th June and is now well underway. Some players have been on holiday but the majority will be back in harness next week ahead of our first pre-season friendly on Saturday 8th July versus Buchanhaven Hearts at Canal Park with a kick-off at 2pm.

The training sessions have been taking place Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays at Canal Park and have included sessions on the nearby sands, something that former Vale players will remember with mixed emotions!

Steve Dolan said “the boys are working hard ahead of the season and with a young side physical fitness is going to be a key factor for us”. Steve and his management team continue their efforts to strengthen the squad and we hope to announce a further two or three signings prior to the start of the season proper.

Our other pre-season friendlies are as follows:

Monday 10th July versus Maud JFC at PRP, kick-off 7.45pm.

Saturday 15th July versus East End FC at PRP, kick-off at 2pm.

Tuesday 18th July versus Ellon United FC at PRP, kick-off 7.45pm.

Saturday 22nd July versus Dundee North End FC at North End Park, Fairmuir Street, Dundee, kick-off 2pm.

Monday 24th July versus Colony Park Juniors at Inverurie, kick-off 7.30pm.

Work has been ongoing at Princess Royal Park over the summer and thanks are due to Princess Royal Sports and Community Trust who have the pitch looking in great shape ahead of the new season.

Gauldy Back at Vale  - 4/7/17
Deveronvale are very pleased to announce the signing of forward Stephen Gauld. Gauldy has SHFL experience with Deveronvale, Huntly, Turriff United and Buckie Thistle but most recently was playing for Maud JFC.
Manager Steve Dolan said “I’m very pleased that we have managed to sign Gauldy. His pace and skill on the ball will add to our attacking options and threat. “ We welcome him back to PRP and look forward to him having a successful second spell at PRP.

McLaren joins Lossie  - 1/7/17
Following his recent request for a transfer, Deveronvale have reached an agreement with Lossiemouth FC for the transfer of James McLaren to the Grant Park club.
