Vale sign 6 from Youth System  - 22/8/17
Deveronvale are very pleased to have signed 6 young players who showed great future promise playing in last season’s U17 squad to senior contracts with the Club. The six are Craig Sutherland (goalkeeper), Kian Beaton (defender/midfield), Samuel Cummings (defender), Cambell Brodie (midfield/forward), Dylan Buxton (forward) and Greig Johnston (defender/midfield).

Five of the six players have been loaned out to local Junior club Whitehills, whilst Craig Sutherland will remain with the first team squad.

First team manager Steve Dolan said “It is really pleasing to see these young players take the next step in their football careers and their being offered contracts reflects the hard work and commitment they have shown over the past few years. The players will train with the first team squad on a regular basis and their progress with Whitehills will be closely monitored”.

All at the Club congratulate these young players on gaining contracts with the Club and look forward to seeing them starting for the first team in the not too distant future.

Vale 4-1 Keith  - 19/8/17

Vale's recent good form continued at PRP today with a fine win over neighbours Keith.

Dane Ballard netted a hatrick for Steve Dolan's side while Grant Noble matched Ballard's five for the season with a second-half penalty

Ross joins Deveronside  - 18/8/17
Following his recent transfer request, an agreement has been reached whereby Nathan Ross will join Deveronside. We wish Nathan success in his move and also wish Side a successful season.

Formartine 4-4 Vale  - 12/8/17

North Lodge Park was the place to be for entertainment this weekend. Eight goals were shared between hosts Formartine United and Deveronvale, a point a piece in the end being just about right.

Scorers for Steve Dolan's side were Dane Ballard and Grant Noble who both netted braces.

Noble's first was a penalty to put the Banffers into the lead before Dane Ballard doubled their advantage ahead of the half-time interval and although the homeside pulled one back shortly after the interval Dane Ballard restored the Vale's two goal advantage during a goal flurry soon after.

A late double from Scott Barbour earned Kris Hunter's big-spenders a point after Graeme Rodger and Grant Noble had kept the goals coming at humid Pitmedden.

Speaking after the game a smiling Vale boss Dolan said "delighted with performance just a pity we couldn't see it through. But boys have been tremendous, they're a great bunch of lads who's workrate is first class. I feel we are a better footballing team than people give us credit for but we have to keep it going and prove the point".

Vale 3-1 Wick  - 7/8/17
Vale picked up their first points of the season with a timely although late win over visitors Wick Academy. Trailing to Sam Mackay's first-half opener Matty Wallace finished off a fine run into the danger area from Ross Aitken to level the match and set-up an exciting finish to the thus far rather low-key affair. With the fans looking at their watches wondering how much time would be added for a couple of lengthy injury stoppages Chris Blackhall crashed in second for the Banff club while substitute Robert Scott got in on the act seven minutes into time added on with a third to cement a morale booster for the young side. Next up is a trip to Pitmedden for Steve Dolan's troops when they take on big-spending Formartine this weekend.
