Which years did you play for Deveronvale ?
1970-1975.
Who signed you for the Vale and what attracted you to sign for the club ?
It was either Ian McDonald or Bob Ross who signed me. I'm not sure.
I wanted to play for Vale because I supported them as a youngster. They were my local team.
What are your fondest memories of playing for Vale ?
Playing in at least 2 Aberdeenshire Cup Finals.
Just generally playing for Deveronvale which was a dream of mine.

What is the most memorable game you played in for Vale ?
Playing Fraserburgh in the Aberdeenshire Cup. We got beat at Banff 4 - 2.
Playing against Hibs at Banff in memory of the late George Bagshaw.
8. Who were the characters at the club ?
Alan Scott, the late Martin Allan and Irvine Chalmers, Eddie Jackson, Sandy Gordon, Donald McKinnon and Brian Mercer.
Who were the best players you played with at the Vale ?
Alan Scott, Des Bremner, Norrie McBain, Johnny Mackie, Frank Laws, Martin Allan and Billy Anderson.
And who were the best players you played against ?
Charlie Duncan, Eric Wilson, George Gilbert and Bertie Bowie.
What have you done in a football sense since you left the Vale ?
I was at Turriff for 3 years, and Deveronside ( when Alan Scott became manager of a very successful team at the time.) .
What does a normal Saturday afternoon entail for you these days ?
Watching my son, Graeme, play for Deveronvale. When not doing that, playing golf.
