Child Welfare and Protection Officer

Deveronvale’s Child Welfare and Protection Officer

Amanda Allan

Amanda has a wealth of experience in coaching and working with young players and her passion for promoting the development of girls’ and women’s football makes her ideally suited for the role of CWPO.

She is involved with girls’ football both at a local and national level and is currently Head Coach for North of Scotland Schools and part of the coaching  team for the SSFA International U15 girls’ squad. She regularly attends the courses and network meetings arranged by the SFA Child Wellbeing and Protection team as well as keeping herself up to date with the ongoing developments locally and nationally in this key area.

The Club regards the protection of young people as a key Club priority, whether the young person is a member of one of our Youth Teams, a ball boy or girl helping out on matchdays, a mascot or a spectator who comes to Princess Royal Park on a matchday. The Club has a comprehensive Child Protection Policy which is posted, along with supporting documentation, on our website. Our coaches and sports therapists are thoroughly vetted, and they are subject to PVG and Disclosure checks and take part in regular CWSF training events.

If you have any concerns or questions with regard to Child Wellbeing and Protection or the Club’s policy or approach to this very important area and Amanda is contactable on amanda_allan10@yahoo.co.uk and by phone on 07854 813990‬.
