Local player Jack Mitchell has signed a 2-year contract with Deveronvale. Jack, 16, was the Deveronvale Young Player of the Year last season, having done very well with U18 side. He can play in both midfield and in an attacking position.
Manager Craig Stewart said: “Jack has been involved with Deveronvale and Deveronvale Community Football Club for a number of years and has developed very well during his time with the clubs. Although he’s still only 16, he’s a big, strong player with both skill and pace. He scored an excellent goal in our first pre-season friendly against Islavale and I am comfortable that he can perform at SHFL level.”
